Congratulations to Bill Handler, PCS Employee of the Month for January 2013. Bill is always willing to do whatever is necessary to help with any team and any task. He has stepped into a leadership role with PCS's largest service project, keeping it on its successful trajectory. Additionally, Bill has worked with Engineering Services on several projects throughout the state. And, most recently, he volunteered to jump in and lend a hand to an understaffed Inventory Team and help them keep up with a heavy receiving load arising from our recent weather-related closures. Bill can always be counted on to assist wherever he is needed, and to do so with professionalism and a commitment to excellence. His efforts are greatly appreciated.
PCS Employee of the Month for December 2012 – Lani Eddington

Lani works very closely with several teams throughout PCS. She handles purchasing, from pricing to ordering to tracking to researching issues, for almost every vendor with which PCS works. Whenever issues arise, she has a good understanding of the receiving process and that enables her to investigate and arrive at solutions quickly and efficiently. Lani is very patient and unfailingly polite when dealing with other teams. She can always be counted on to respond to questions in a timely manner and to address teammates in a positive and helpful way.

Congratulations to James Saniger, PCS Employee of the Year for 2012. James is a shining example of an excellent team player. His commitment to PCS and our customers is more than evident, and he never cuts corners. He is thorough and precise and loves to watch a well-planned solution be well executed. He loves happy customers and works tirelessly to make them! He is an OUTSTANDING representation of PCS and of the core values that guide our company to growth and success.
PCS Employee of the Month for November 2012 – Steve Myers

Steve has always been very dependable and consistently works hard at everything he does. He does an outstanding job in Service and is always willing to take on new responsibilities to help out the team. During November, Steve not only helped with Pilot Flying J’s scanner repairs but also took on new service duties. He was asked to help with system building, stepped right back into doing something he had not done in quite some time, and said it was “just like riding a bicycle.” Steve can always be counted on to do whatever is asked of him, do it in a prompt and professional manner, and do it with a positive attitude and a smile.

Bill has consistently been a great performer since he started at PCS. He has a really good attitude and is always willing to help out. Recently he worked on the Greene County Schools NComputing installation, working late several days as the team put together a solution for the GCS computer lab. Before that project was even complete, he switched gears and went right to filling a gap for the Denso project team. Additionally, he spent several weeks assisting the IT staff at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital and received glowing reviews from everyone in that group. Bill can always be counted on to do a great job and, almost without fail, do more than he is asked to do.

Steve is an extremely valuable asset to the PCS team. He provides top-notch support services in multiple states, constantly travelling in the Nashville, Memphis, and Louisville, KY regions. In addition to his core responsibilities providing service to our Promethean customers, Steve also assists the Service Team with installation of NComputing systems and repair of printing and imaging devices. Always quick to pitch in and help wherever he is needed, Steve is eager to do whatever he can to help the team. His skills and professionalism are appreciated by customers throughout Tennessee and Kentucky.

Rich is a very hard worker and a great asset – not just to the Inventory Team, but to the entire company. He pulls and ships all of our Promethean orders, and always keeps a tight grasp on what is missing and when it is expected to arrive. Rich has a keen eye for mis-keyed and incorrect orders and works with the Promethean and Sales Teams to correct those orders before they are sent to a customer site. Rich also jumps in to help receive and allocate freight as it arrives and schedules all LTL pickups and appointments for merchandise going out to customers. Always eager to help wherever he is needed, Rich approaches his work in a committed and professional manner at all times.

This past month, Ashley made some amazing strides with manipulation of information in CRM and Atrex. By integrating CRM information into forms we regularly use in-house, he has alleviated a lot of extra work for our team. Instead of manually completing these forms, team members can now print a report from CRM which displays all the information we need in our familiar formats. Ashley continuously rises to meet the challenges presented to him; this month, many team members finally got the opportunity to see the end result of projects into which Ashley put a lot of work. We appreciate his efforts and how they positively affect all of us.

Lani has taken on the challenge of purchasing and has handled it with great confidence and outstanding dedication. While our purchasing team does not deal directly with customers, their work affects nearly everyone in the organization. Lani has stepped into that role, gotten up to speed very quickly, and handled the challenge with commitment and professionalism.

Guy is a great asset to the Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Teams, and to the PCS family as a whole. He is diligent in checking in merchandise, always ensuring that we have received what we ordered. He packs and ships more than 90% of our outbound FedEx parcels and is consistently on the lookout for the next item to process so nothing ever waits to be done. Always willing to lend a hand when other teams need assistance; Guy is a dedicated, conscientious, and professional individual who always does whatever he can to make a better PCS. Congratulations, Guy!

Amanda is a greatly valued member of the PCS team. With every customer interaction, she shows a great sense of urgency and shows initiative at every turn. She picks up knowledge regarding new technologies at a remarkable rate and applies that knowledge to improve future engagements. Customers love her and she works well with other PCS team members, always demonstrating great professionalism and a positive attitude.

Gavin has been a great asset to PCS and our customers, having consistently been among the top performers and receiving great marks and customer comments on surveys. He always steps up to take on a challenge and never says “no” or “I can’t,” which makes him a go-to technician and a great teammate. Gavin spent many hours, late into the evenings, on-site assisting a customer (an accounting firm) during a very critical time (tax season) and doing everything he could do to get them back up and running. Although he worked diligently and with a great sense of urgency, Gavin remained calm and acted like it was “just another day at the office.” The customer took great pains to point out that they very much appreciated his stellar response to what was most definitely not “just another day at the office.” Congratulations, Gavin!

During the month of February, Cathy assisted the sales team in her role as Grants Champion by scheduling and organizing our response to numerous E-Rate requests for proposals. Cathy created calendars to track walkthrough dates, quotes from vendors, response due dates, and delivery dates. Cathy coordinated with multiple team members, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure that we were submitting professional and competitive responses each and every time. It is no secret she is a valuable member of the PCS Team. Congratulations, Cathy!

Congratulations to Ashley Cardin, PCS Employee of the Month for January 2012. In addition to his usual work load, Ashley really stepped up this month and helped out with a myriad of projects for our team. Most recently, he created a new entity in our internal database that would track deliveries and help with fleet management. His continuous improvement of our database and associated processes is incredible, and that makes Ashley an integral part of the PCS Team.
